Wow! We see little bits and peices here and there but don't really get a sense of how lovely the whole thing is overall. Thanks for taking us on a virtual tour! You can definitely see all the work you've put into it! Beautiful!
I'm glad I took your tour. I feel as if I were actually there. Very peaceful and well organize.
I took the virtual tour, too. You've been working hard in your garden and it shows!
How nice to get treated to an overview, you've been very busy and your garden looks great. But I didn't see any last-minute plants stuffed in! What is the orange flower on the long stems? Very eye-popping! And that turtle could find a home in my garden any day. Thanks for the tour!
Thank you for your nice comments!
Lostroses - I think the plant you're referring to is the butterfly weed. I grew it from seed 3 years ago. It really hit its stride this year! And no, you didn't see any last minute plants stuffed in. I don't normally stuff with annuals, so I didn't think I should pop some in just for the sake of the open garden. I wanted everything to look the way it usually does.
Thanks for the tour. I liked how you used the Lamb's Ear. I am glad someone else asked the question because my Butterfly Weed has never grown that tall.
Thank you for a great post about your flower gardens. We live in Ky and wished we could have seen it in person:)
Renee
I would have loved to have seen your garden in person. Your pictures are always fabulous. The commute to your open garden would have been short since I am just over the river from you.
Since your blog is a virtual neighbor of mine, I have tagged you in a meme where you write seven random things about yourself. If you are thinking "oh my, what am I going to write?" then your reaction is the same as mine was. I got through it though and just published my 7 random things.
I hope you will play along!
I love all the orange plants ...your garden is beautiful.
Your yard/gardens are shaping up so nicely! I really like along the sidewalk. I believe I see butterfly weed (the orange) which is a stand-out. Every part of your yard looks well thought out and planned.
I've lived in the same house for almost 21 years and I am still changing things around in the yards and gardens.
I purchased many garden decor items from Gardens Alive store at CouponAlbum site on most discounted price. Just check it out!!!!
